ABOUT THE book

Norris Tales II

The Adventures of an Awful House Cat
Before the world knew chaos, there was Norris. This first volume collects absurd, hyperbolic memoir-style tales of a cat who refuses to behave. He steals lunch money, terrorizes the dogs, and generally makes life interesting for those unlucky enough to live with him.

Norris Tales II

 Still an Awful House Cat
The mischief continues. In this follow-up, Norris’s reign of terror has only gotten bolder. The stories begin from when the family adopted a five-year-old cat from the pound—years later, grief, disobedience, and domestic warfare ensue.

These are not just “funny cat stories.” They’re exaggerated reflections on life, pets, family, and the chaotic love that binds them.

About the Author

Devonne (D. L.) Brown

Devonne writes from a place of loving exasperation. A mother of twin sons, she “harbors cats and antiques,” weaving real-life absurdities into each narrative. She teaches English between summers, using her day job to sharpen her ear for voice and humor.

Her style blends irreverence and sincerity. The cat is crazy—but sometimes you see your own messy life in the wake.
